Life begins as perfect order.

Ananeo is a student-founded lab decoding why our cells grow old, and engineering ways to pause and reverse it.
Billions of molecules fold, bind and settle into a living cell. Its information is intact. Its clock reads zero.
DNA damage piles up, epigenetic marks drift and mitochondria falter. The cell stops dividing but won't die. It goes grey.
Our molecules are built to find senescent cells, restore their energy and give back the instructions they lost.
Translucent, energetic, dividing again. We think aging can be treated like a disease, so we're working on a cure.
Why we exist
Every disease of old age, from cancer to Alzheimer's to heart failure, shares one risk factor: time. We think aging is a loss of information inside our cells, and lost information can be recovered. So we're not treating the symptoms one by one. We're going after the clock itself.

Drag the slider to age the genome. Watch base pairs drift and break, colour fade and the helix come loose. Then hit rewind.
Research pipeline
A small-molecule combination that triggers apoptosis only in senescent cells, which pump out the inflammatory signals that age the tissue around them. Delivered as an oral capsule with a cyclical, hit-and-run dosing schedule.
Transient, partial expression of reprogramming factors via lipid-nanoparticle mRNA, enough to restore a youthful epigenetic pattern without wiping the cell's identity.
An NAD⁺ precursor paired with a mitophagy activator. It clears out damaged mitochondria and fuels the new ones, so old cells get their power back.
Inside the lab
A converted basement, three incubators and too much coffee. Drag through a normal week at Ananeo.
